"My uncle was a house builder in Kings Lynn  Norfolk, UK. He bought an 18th-century manor house that had been trashed by the military that had taken it over during the war. It had to be pulled down and the land used to build on. The original house had a grand entrance hall, black and white marble floor, All doors mahogany each door flanked by mahogany pillars headed with one of these plaster pieces. This one was not damaged so he rescued it. This house, in a village called North Runcton, had belonged to the Quaker family of Elizabeth Fry.  Children learn about Elizabeth in school, she was  a force in reforming the horrendous prisons in UK at the time. So it has a connection to a great humanitarian."
