Robert was born on September 21, 1959 in Cowansville, in the heart of the Eastern Townships of Quebec. As a small child he always enjoyed drawing and excelled at art in High School. At 17 he started a CEGEP diploma in Creative-Arts at Champlain Regional College in Lennoxville, Quebec in 1977. Then in the fall 0f 1979 Robert began a Bachelor of Fine-Arts degree at Mount Allison University in Sackville New Brunswick, majoring in print-making and a double minor in photography and Art History. Upon completion of my Bachelor’s degree in 1983, he then began a Post-Graduate Diploma in Art Education at McGill University in Montreal which was completed in 1984. In the late summer of 1984 Robert moved to Grand Falls to begin a career as an Art and Drama Teacher at Booth Memorial. He worked with the Provincial Government of Newfoundland for 30 years, from 1988 to 93 as a Museum Technician at the Mary March Regional Museum and from 1993 to 2017 as the Regional Manager of the Arts and Culture Centre in GFW.
Robert enjoys working with various media buts prefer to use pastels, water colours and working in various printmaking methods at any opportunity. Subject matter can vary and depends strictly upon his interest at any given the time. As of late he has done a number of portraits in both pastel and water colours of family, friends and famous individuals. He is enjoying his free time creating artworks as he is retired and has time to commit to new projects.

In the event of a dispute, the auctioneer holds sole discretion in its resolution. This includes, but is not limited to, the removal, re-offering or adjusting the terms of the item in dispute. In the event of a technical malfunction, internet issues, any network failure in general, we reserve the right to continue, start over or reset to a saved moment in the sale and set a new closing date and time. This auction features a staggered, soft close - beginning at 7PM, Wednesday October 8, 2025, one lot will close every 20 seconds until complete. If a bid is received in the final 45 seconds, the countdown clock resets to 45 seconds for that lot only.
Buyer’s Fee – a 15% Buyer’s Fee will be applied to the purchaser’s total before HST. Harmonized Sales Tax applies to all items offered and all services rendered.
Pay by cash, e-transfer, Wire, Certified Cheque, Visa, MasterCard, American Express. (If you choose the credit card payment option there is a 2.4% premium added to the purchase to cover credit card fees.) The auctioneer will retain possession of all items until full payment has been received and cleared.
**Invoices are sent out just after the last item closes. Bidders can always find their invoices in the Account. All Items must be paid for within 24 hours following the sale; the successful bidder can initiate this payment process using their card on file, e transferring the amount due to admin@bartlettauctions.com or contacting us to arrange wire transfer, certified funds or other. If this is not initiated by the high bidder within 24 hours of the auction, the auctioneer retains the right to process the card on file (plus the 2.4% premium to cover credit card fees).
