West Coast Supports Ukraine
Nomad Stages, a performing and fine arts studio in Stephenville, NL, has joined forces with a large number of local volunteers to create West Coast Supports Ukraine. This organization is raising funds for potential immigrants from the Ukraine who may arrive in our province over the next couple of months. If our province does not receive immigrants, the money will be donated to another humanitarian organization to aid the Ukrainian people.The Bay St. George area is home to over a dozen Ukrainian speakers, the largest Ukrainian population on the island, and is a logical location to support Ukrainian immigrants in our province. The goal of the committee is to ensure that we can provide newcomers to our province with everything they need to start a new life and feel safe in their new country. Your donation will go a long way in helping us achieve this goal.
