Artist Bio: Shonda Brown
From her Dad's Army days to kin finding kin, is how Shonda Brown made Newfoundland her home.
Born in New Brunswick, Shonda now considers Newfoundland her home. The love of the people and the province has captured her heart and the scenery is so beautiful here, that she wants to paint it and show it to the rest of the world. Her husband, Harry's encouragement, is what has given her the ability to take a hobby and make it into a career.
Shonda first started painting with oils but then later changed to acrylics and with paint to paper enjoys the thrill of seeing her passion come to life. Shonda's artistic talent doesn't stop here for she has written over 40 poems of which "Ode to the Fishermen" is one. Shonda is a distinguished member of the National Society of Poets.
