The house illustrated may be the ancestral home of the Tucker family in St. Philips. The Tucker's were the earliest known settlers in the area. The house architecture has change and when originally built would have been a traditional salt box without the verandah. The large open cooking fireplace, which was removed decades ago and the original architectural style suggests that the house could be the oldest standing structure in St. Philips dating from the very early 1800's.

Painting measures 16 by 20 inches, Oil on Panel

The painting had had one owner only and was bought on April 19, 1975 from Ernie Mauscoff at The Gallery which was located at 284 Duckworth St. You could be the very fortunate lucky owner
