Wines of Bordeaux 2004 and Dinner for 10 at Boca
St. John’s Rotary Auction 2024
2004 Bordeaux Dinner
The Rotary Club of St. John’s is pleased to again offer its patrons and supporters an exceptional wine tasting and dinner for 10 at the critically acclaimed Boca restaurant to be arranged at the mutual convenience of the hosts and successful bidder.
The evening will offer a rare opportunity for the successful bidder to savour the great wines of the great 2004 Bordeaux vintage paired with exceptional dishes prepared by Boca’s superb chef, Gregory Berzinski.
The dinner will commence with a champagne reception followed by a fantastic selection of wines from the 2004 Bordeaux vintage including many of the renowned first growths accompanied by the elegant and beautiful 2008 d’Yquemmatched with its renowed neighbour, Chateau de Fargues. 2004 was a large vintage that produced many classic wines that are well balanced, medium weight and elegantly structured. These are now 20 years old, fully mature and drinking beautifully. The tasting will also allow the successful bidder to compare the three great Pavies which were once part of the same estate.
