'Hummingbird' by Duncan Chisholm
Duncan Chisholm is an artist who specializes in creating unique wildlife scenes using moose and caribou hair. This piece features a delicate hummingbird in mid-flight, feeding at a vibrant cluster of flowers. Chisholm’s choice of natural materials, combined with his meticulous layering technique, captures the intricate textures and colors of both the bird and the blooms. Each strand of hair is carefully placed to mimic the fine details of feathers and petals, bringing a sense of realism and movement to the scene. This artwork not only showcases Chisholm’s skill but also reflects his deep connection to the natural world.
