NL Foster Families 2025
Foster Families Newfoundland and Labrador (FFNL) has a mandate to advance and promote the professional role of Foster Parents and to be a collective voice for Foster Families throughout our province. FFNL works in partnership with all stakeholders within the foster care program to meet the needs of Foster Families and to enhance the care and support provided to children in care and their families. The FFNL has responsibilities in the areas of education, recruitment, retention, support, and advocacy. Foster Families NL is a non-profit organization with three staff who cover the entire province of Newfoundland and Labrador and, as such, resources are often limited.
FFNL also completes community outreach, presents in the school system to assist in reducing stigma still associated with children being in foster care and supports children in-care with its Backpacks of Comfort program.
Our online auction is our main fundraiser for the year. It will run from June 1, 2025, to June 7, 2025, closing at 4pm. All proceeds will assist FFNL to continue and expand programming to assist families and children/youth in our communities.
We want to thank all our generous donors that helped make this auction possible. We have listed the names of those who have provided items for the auction in the descriptions and hope you can also support them in your future purchases. We would like to thank Bartlett's for again hosting our auction. Staff and Board members are allowed to bid on items along with the public.
Items will be displayed at the Capital Hotel, St. John’s for viewing on June 7, 2025.
Pick up of auction wins will occur at the Capital Hotel in Salon C from 6pm to 8pm on June 7, 2025 and 8:30am – 11:30am on June 8, 2025. The last time for pick up of items will be on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 from 9am – 4pm at our office at 90 O'Leary Avenue, Suite 211. If an item needs to be shipped, shipping costs will be at the expense of the winning bidder.
