Rainbow Riders has operated as a therapeutic riding program for over 30 years now! Our mission is to facilitate the development and potential of children, youth, and adults with special physical, cognitive, emotional, and mental health related needs through therapeutic horseback riding and other forms of equine therapy. As a non-profit organization with no guaranteed government funding, we rely solely on donations from our community to operate our essential programs.

While we recognize that Covid-19 has had an impact on the world at large, the impact of pandemic related isolation is greater for our participants at Rainbow Riders. The opposite of isolation is connection. Through therapeutic horseback riding and equine therapy we foster connection and help alleviate the unique concerns faced by our participants. Horses become a therapeutic tool; they are used as an extension of the body, the eyes, the ears, and everything in between.

Within the last year we have seen a sharp rise in the demand and need for our programs, with a 92% increase in participants. By supporting this auction, you are directly impacting the participants of Rainbow Riders. With our growing program, we require funding for the cost of two new therapy horses and the means to subsidize the cost of programming for families with financial barriers.
