Session #4 - CNS#2 - The Collection of Edward M. Roberts - June 3rd-17th 2025

The late Hon. Dr. Edward M. Roberts (1940-2022) donated his collection of Newfoundland and Labrador books to the Centre for Newfoundland Studies (CNS) at Memorial University to keep as needed or sell with proceeds going towards the purchase of new material for the Centre  Dr. Roberts was a lawyer, businessman, politician and author. He was Chairman of the Board of Regents of Memorial University of Newfoundland from 1997- 2002, and received an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from the university in 2003. He was Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador from 2002-2008. The CNS would like to recognize the generosity of Dr. Roberts. His donation supports the mandate of the CNS to collect, preserve and make accessible the published works of Newfoundland and Labrador.
